About ASCO
ASCO is a Karachi-based parent company. We launch and run design-led consumer brands, and we invest in businesses run by other founders.
What ASCO builds
We start consumer brands where design comes first, across fashion, footwear and finance. Each one is made for shoppers in emerging markets, whose needs and expectations are changing quickly.
Our first brand is FLEUR, handcrafted women's footwear made in Pakistan. Alongside our own brands, we invest in other founders' businesses with capital and hands-on support.
Led by Ahmed Sultan
Ahmed Sultan is ASCO's owner and director. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computing for Business Management from the University of Sussex.
His work began where technology meets business, and moved into his family's business, where he helped run its operations. That experience pushed him towards building new ventures and investing in other businesses: the two things ASCO does today.
Why a lotus
The lotus grows across South Asia. ASCO is a South Asian company, building brands for this part of the world, and the mark keeps us tied to where we come from.
A lotus also grows up from mud and opens clean above the water. Building a business works the same way: most of the work happens out of sight, long before anything shows.
